Reading Together: a note for families
Some of the best discoveries happen out loud, side by side. A few gentle ideas for reading with the children in your life.
A story read alone is a quiet pleasure. A story read together becomes a conversation. You do not need to be an expert — you only need to be curious alongside someone.
Pick a short piece. Read it aloud. Stop whenever either of you has a question and chase it together, even if neither of you knows the answer. Especially then. The goal is not to finish; it is to wonder in good company.
