What Makes a Question Worth Following?
The best questions do more than request an answer—they change what we notice and how we live.
Some questions close as soon as we learn a fact. Others continue to open, because every answer reveals a larger edge of not knowing.
A question is worth following when it helps us notice something we were overlooking. It may make an ordinary habit visible, soften a quick judgment, or invite us to see from another person’s point of view.
Try asking: what would change my mind? What am I assuming? What deserves more patience than I am giving it?
A living question does not keep us confused. It keeps us honest, curious, and awake to possibilities.
